How to Add Line Breaks in LinkedIn Posts
You write a perfectly formatted LinkedIn post. Hit publish. And all your line breaks are gone. Sound familiar?
This is one of the most common LinkedIn frustrations. Here's why it happens and how to fix it.
Why LinkedIn Removes Line Breaks
LinkedIn's mobile app sometimes strips line breaks when you paste text. It also happens when you type directly in the editor on certain devices. The issue is that LinkedIn treats some newline characters differently.
The Fix
Use Link-Polish's Line Break Fixer. It converts your line breaks into Unicode line separator characters that LinkedIn preserves perfectly.
- Write your post in Link-Polish
- Click "Fix Line Breaks"
- Copy the result
- Paste into LinkedIn — all line breaks preserved
Alternative Methods
You can also add a space or period on empty lines between paragraphs. LinkedIn preserves line breaks that have content on both sides.
Test Before You Post
Always paste into the LinkedIn "Start a post" box and preview before hitting publish. If line breaks disappear, go back to Link-Polish and fix them.
