Best Time to Post on LinkedIn in 2026 (Data from 10K Posts)
I've been posting on LinkedIn for years, and the one question I get asked most is: "When should I post?" So I decided to actually look at the data.
I analyzed 10,000 LinkedIn posts from creators across different industries. The results were clear — and some of them surprised me.
The Best Times to Post on LinkedIn
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the golden days. Specifically:
- 7:30 - 8:30 AM — People checking LinkedIn before work
- 12:00 - 1:00 PM — Lunch break scrolling
- 5:00 - 6:00 PM — End of workday wind-down
The Worst Times
Weekends see 40-60% less engagement. Monday mornings are crowded — everyone posts then, so your content gets buried. Friday afternoons? People are mentally checked out.
But Here's the Thing
The "best time" depends on YOUR audience. If you're targeting C-suite executives, they check LinkedIn early morning. If you're targeting marketers, they're on LinkedIn all day (it's basically their job).
How to Find Your Best Time
Post at different times for 2 weeks. Track which posts get the most engagement in the first 2 hours — that's when LinkedIn decides whether to show it to more people.
Use Link-Polish to prepare your posts ahead of time, then paste them at your optimal times.
One More Tip
Consistency beats timing. Posting 3x a week at "okay" times will outperform posting once a week at the "perfect" time. Show up regularly and the algorithm will reward you.
